Vor einigen Tagen schrieb ich ja meinen Testbericht zur von fotocommunity[plus] und Golla zur Verfügung gestellten Kameratasche. Daraufhin hat sich heraus gestellt, dass es doch noch erheblichen Bedarf an guten und praktischen Kamerataschen gibt da draussen bei Euch und da ich von meinem liebsten Lieblingsmenschen zu DER Reise von damals nicht nur noch ein passendes Objektiv bekommen hatte, sondern auch gleich noch die passende Tasche zum Schleppen der gesamten Ausrüstung und ich HOCHzufrieden bin mit der Auswahl des Gatten, dachte ich mir, ich stelle Euch mal meinen Begleiter etwas ausführlicher vor. Heute also mein Erfahrungsbericht zum Kamerarucksack SlingShot™ 202 AW der Firma LowePro.

Few days ago I wrote an article about a camera bag that was brought to me from fotocommunity [plus] and Golla for testing it. (Sorry for the missing translation on english for that article, but I will bring it to you as soon als possible! Promissed!). Now there have been many questions about my other camera bag I am using (and it was brought to me from my lovely husband for that special trip, you remember?) and so I decided to introduce you to my favorite camera bag I am using at the moment.

I won´t tell you anything about technical details, you can find them on the homepage from LowePro, I will only tell you about my own experience with this bag and what I am tinking and loving about it

Zunächst einmal vorne weg die Feststellung: Okay, es handelt sich hierbei um einen Rucksack. Also nichts, das ich lässig auf der Hüfte umher schaukelnd spazieren tragen kann, sondern schön fest geschnallt auf dem Rücken transportiere.

First of all the statement: It is a backpack and not like a bag carring around bouncing on the hips.

Dieser Rucksack zeichnet allerdings in der Besonderheit aus, dass er dennoch quer getragen wird. Sprich, der Hauptgurt geht quer über die Schulter und somit sollte beim Kauf auf *kicher* Rechts- oder Linksträger geachtet werden. Um das Gewicht (und glaubt mir, bei Anschaffung DIESER Tasche habt Ihr soviel dabei, dass es wirklich Gewicht ist!) wird durch einen an- und abklippbaren Seitengurt noch etwas verteilt, so dass nicht alles auf der Trageschulter lastet. Beide Gurte, der Haupt- und der Seitengurt, lassen sich gleichermaßen mit Steckverschlüssen öffnen und sind auch einzeln regulierbar, so dass jeder Träger ihn optimal auf sich anpassen kann.

But you will carry this backpack nevertheless diagonally. Means, that the main belt crosses your body diagonally and you will have to pay attention if you are a right- or a left bearer when buying this bag. To dispense the weight (and you will probably carry WEIGHT with you if you have THIS bag! Thats for sure!) from your shoulder there is another diagonal belt. Both belts are to open with easy to handle push-fit clasps (is this the correct word for that thing??) and you can adapt both belts on your size you need.

Besonders positiv finde ich an diesem Modell die vielzähligen Verstaumöglichkeiten für allerlei Kram, den frau ja immer wieder mal gerne zusätzlich mit sich herum trägt. Sei es die Sonnenbrille oder eine Packung Kaugummis, die Puderdose oder Taschentücher, in dieser Tasche hat es hier ein Zipperlein und dort ein extra Fach- ich kann Euch versichern, selbst der große Geldbeutel findet darin Platz, ohne ihn zwischen die Kamera und die Objektive quetschen zu müssen!

Specially I like the endless facilities to store all the stuff, that woman likes to carry with her additionally to the cam. It could be the sunglasses or some chewing gums, the powder box or tissues, in this bag you will find here a zipper and there an extra pocket-  I can assure you, even the big pouch will find its place inside without packing it between the camera and the lenses!

Auf gut gelöst finde ich die Vorrichtung für das Stativ. Wenn es nicht benötigt wird, stört es nicht weiter. Wenn frau es braucht, wird der Klettverschluss an der unteren Kante geöffnet, die Lasche für den Fuß heraus gezogen und das Stativ darin verankert und oben mit dem Gurt befestigt. Ich krieg damit sogar mein billiges Dreibein-Stativ unter:

A fine idea is the solution for transporting the tripod. If you don´t need it, it won´t bother you. And if you use it, you just put out the clip under the velcro fastener and fix it with teh belt:

Was ich vergessen habe zu fotografieren ist die integrierte Regenabdeckung. Die befindet sich an der Rückseitenunterkante, ebenfalls versteckt unter einem Klettverschluss und lässt sich bei einem Regenschauer schnell und unkompliziert über den kompletten Rucksack ziehen. Wird nachgereicht.

I forgot to take pictures of the integrated rain shield. You  will find it like the tripod clip under the Velcro fastener and can put it easily over the hole backpack, if there occurs a heavy rain

Kommen wir zum Innenleben. Die Tasche ist im Innenraum flexibel einteilbar durch mit Klett variabel versetzbaren Trennwänden. Das braucht zwar nen Moment, bis frau die optimale Einteilung für ihr Equipement gfunden hat, aber wenn das dann einmal sitzt, dann sicher für ewig. Komfortabel machen lässt sich das ganze durch den Deckel, der mit dem Zwei-Wege-Reissverschluss komplett zu öffnen ist.

Inside the bag you have the opportunity to find the perfect fitting for your equipement. For a comfortable changing of the inside divider you can open the cover completely.

Selbst die SD-Karten haben ihr ganz eigenes Fach nur ganz für Sich allein

Ein besonderes Gimmick, das ich erst nach ein paar Tagen entdeckt hatte, ist das ebenfalls integrierte Mikrofasertuch. Ist das nicht nett? Ich LIEBE ja so Kleinigkeiten

An absolutely nice gimmick, which I found out after some days of using the backpack, is the integrated microfibre cloth. Isn´t it nice? I LOVE such tiny odds and ends

Noch immer nicht angetan? Dann hab ich jetzt das Entscheidende an diesem Taschenkonzept, was Euch sicher gefallen wird- mich jedenfalls hat es total überzeugt in dieser Woche in NYC, wo frau öfter mal die Cam wegpackt, weil sie denkt, das wars und dann plötzlich DAS Motiv. Und was passiert? Ihr ahnt es und hab es sicher auch schon oft genug erlebt: Bis Ihr die Cam wieder aus der Tasche gefruckelt habt, ist DAS Motiv auch schon wieder passé, richtig? Richtig! Und jetzt kommen wir zu diesem Rucksack. Der Trick ist: den seitlichen Gurt lösen, die Tasche vor den Bauch ziehen, RV elegant öffnen und *tadaaaa* die schussbereite Cam gegriffen und losgelegt! Es klappt. Wirklich! ca tausendfach ausprobiert und es geht verdammt schnell!

If you still aren´t committed, I will tell you the essential thing about that bag and I am sure, you will like it! In NYC it occured several times, I put away my cam because I thought, I was ready. And what happened?  I saw THE motif and I was trying to get out my camera of the bag. Finally got my cam and… the motif is gone! So THAT will never happen again with THIS backpack. The trick is: you open the small belt, push the backpack in front of your belly, open the zipper and *tadaaa* grab out your cam and shoot. Thats so easy and comfortable and fast, you would never believe it, if you didn´t try it!

Mein Fazit: Ihr seht, ich hab einiges ausprobiert und auch meine Ausrüstugn ist stetig gewachsen. Ich bin von der SlingShot™ echt überzeugt und kann sie uneingeschränkt empfehlen, zumal die Handhabung wirklich einfach ist und sie so feine Gimmicks hat, die das Frauen Fotografenherz höher schlagen lassen. Jetzt müsste LowePro sich nur noch ein Herz fassen und die Taschen schön bunt machen, wie sie eben Golla anbietet und die Kiste wäre absolut perfekt…

I love this bag because of the fine gimmicks and the easy handling and the amount of space. If you need a bag with much space for your equipement and all the other stuff a woman needs, you will love it
